Fluent yet foreign (sometimes)* and live in Spain (all because I fell in love with a firefighter). He promised to rescue me from any problem except irregular English verbs.
I discuss these things in my emails, and surprisingly, I always find a way to relate them to how you can improve your English fluency and have that freedom of choice.
It’s part of my job.
*I’ll explain about feeling foreign…
This happens to me all the time. When people ask about my job, I tell them:
‘I help people feel comfortable speaking English.’
They usually ask if I can help them communicate fluently, but it’s more than that. I help people become fluent and fearless, not just speak it.
It’s like helping someone feel at home in a new language, not a foreigner.
Sometimes, I help break down the barriers that fluency struggles can create so you can reach your full potential without being held back by language.
Oh, and I also send a daily email. Why? To help you be yourself, in any language, every day.
What about that love story with a firefighter? Let’s save it for later. Where was I?
Everyone’s got a reason for doing what they do.
As a kid, I had no clue what I wanted to be. But I always thought people who spoke English were super smart.
My parents always told me, ‘Learn English; it’ll be a lifesaver.’ And they were right!
I’ve always loved teaching English to anything that breathes (and to some that don’t), from my cat Barsik and my granny to my dolls.
I didn’t know it then, but English has allowed me to earn money and do anything I want while having fun. It gave me freedom of choice.
Now, I want to help you do the same. Let’s crush those fears and reach your full potential in English.
But… So, who am I? Am I a little dangerous?
- I’m an only child who loves karate and capricious and curious by nature.
- I’m a bit of a perfectionist, but don’t let that fool you. I’ve been known to leave the dishes and still sleep soundly.
- I’m always reading, though it’s mainly in English now.
- I’ve even sold a truck in Spain, even though my Spanish wasn’t fluent (I’ll tell you that story later).
- I speak Spanish like a native because, well, I fell in love with a Spaniard (I’ll share it with you in the first email)
- Even though I’ve been teaching English for several decades, I still get insecure sometimes. But that’s a good sign—it means I’m on the right track.
- I’m fluent in five languages and have a bunch of degrees, but really, I’m just a person who loves learning and helping others communicate English fluently while being their true selves.
Okay, I am not dangerous, but to be sure, you’ve got no choice but to subscribe:
